Yesterday evening I received a phone call from a reporter asking me if I could make my way down to the Murrieta police department and get photos of a murder suspect being escorted to an awaiting car that would take him to the local jail. The murder took place in February of 1996 and was of thirteen year old girl who had been dating the suspect (at that time he was seventeen). After the girl’s death he ran to Mexico and has been hiding there until August of 2007 when he was found in a Mexican jail under a fake name by a fugitive task force, he was being held for an unrelated crime. I was told that he would arrive at the jail around 5:30 pm and be taken to the car at around 6pm-6:15pm. Well after continually getting updates from the P.I.O. The move didn't take place until a little after 9pm making light a real issue! But the Fox L.A. station was there and their video light really helped me get the shots I needed.
